Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper stopped by to thank the delegates for their work - explaining Denver's 'Mile High Million' tree-planting program and noting that one mature tree can save up to $200 a month in air conditioning. Then the Denver Parks Department served up a barbecue lunch in the park. Below: Activists from 'Code Pink', including singer-songwriter Betsy Rose (left), entertained the volunteers as they wielded their picks and shovels. Let's get to work so we can win in November.
