Organized Honk & Waves, an Obama phonebank, and election day poll watchers. Drove a trailer load of campaign signs and literature to Pennsylvania, then went door-to-door for Barack in Philly & Scranton. |
Way to go Kevin! June 7, 2008 Congratulations to Kevin Christie who was selected Saturday as an At-Large Delegate to represent Vermont at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. Kevin's going to help us make history in August when we nominate Barack Obama - and re-energize our grassroots to work for every Democrat up and down the ballot. With Kevin's victory, Windsor County now has 3 members of Vermont's 23-member delegation. Peter Welch and Don Hooper round out our top-notch trio. We also have two representatives on the Credentials Committee - Jane Stetson and Kathy Hoyt - and at least a few Windsor County residents will be helping out at the convention in other capacities. Our neighbors to the north in Orange County are sending Sherry Merrick and Linda Weiss as delegates and Tim Briglin as an alternate. Superdelegate Billi Gosh also hails from Orange County. And Windham County is sending Peter Shumlin and Michael Pieciak. All in all, eastern Vermont will be well-represented in Denver. Congratulations to all! EXCITING NEWS...Going to Denver!
